Two of America’s biggest music stars Big Sean and Akon will perform in Accra on November 23, enewsgh.com can say. Local Brewery giant Guinness Ghana Limited are putting it together.
The two will be joined in concert at the Accra Sports Stadium by local heads Sarkodie, Shatta, and Samini, as well as Nigerian wonder boy Wizkid.
The November 23 date is Big Sean’s first show in Ghana while Akon would be making his third major appearance.
A concert that should attract a lot of patrons, it is going to be free-ticketed but with a catch
25 year-old Sean Michael Anderson, known on stage as Big Sean, is a recording artist from Detroit, Michigan. He signed with Kanye West’s GOOD Music in 2007, and later with Def Jam in 2008.
After releasing a number of mixtapes, he released his debut album Finally Famous in 2011, followed by a second studio album Hall of Fame in August this year.

Shatta Wale is a real talent, Samini admits

shatta-wale-is-a-real-talent
Having been away for three months in North America and Canada, Ghanaian dancehall artiste and CEO (Crucial Entertainment Outlaw) of music, Samini , says his fans should watch out for bigger things to come from him.
When JoyNews on MultiTV’s entertainment programme, THE WHITE CARPET played host to him on its celebrity hangout segment, Samini said whilst in the United States he performed at four different concerts but looked forward to coming back home to give his fans enough reason to continue loving him.
Samini said his major stage appearance since his return is the Kwabena Kwabena Save a Life Concert.
On the issue of speculations of a feud between Nigeria’s Wizkid and Ghanaian hiplife group R2Bees Samini said there is no grudge and that Mugeez of R2Bees will find it funny to hear that people think they are not on good terms.
He explained the song in question, ‘TIME BOMB’ which features Wizkid was originally supposed to also feature Mugeez of R2Bees. But Mugeez thought it brilliant to step back and allow just him and Wizkid to be on it. Samini blamed promoters for his inability to perform together with Wizkid on ‘TIME BOMB’ during the recent Ghana meets Nija concert.
“A lot of things made it difficult for the performance to go down. The promoters should have co-ordinated to see how they wanted the performances to go. It was minutes to the show when they told Wizkid to perform ‘Time Bomb’ with me before he leaves the stage and I guess he also had his plan of performance he wanted to do. That was the excuse they gave so it was difficult blending”.
Contrary to reports that his song PINK SHEET was directed at his fellow musicians, Samini tried to clear the air that it was just a harmless mix-tape on real talents who last in the industry.
On his relationship with self-acclaimed dancehall King, Shatta Wale and whether he is a real talent who would last, Samini said he does not wish him to fade anytime soon. “I think he is a very talented person. He is a real talent”.
Samini sought to clarify more issues he had refrained to comment on for all this while. He said Kaakie, the dancehall queen is not his girlfriend. “I’m not dating Kaakie, she’s is a baby. Am even looking forward to whoever is brave to wanna handle my little girl…”
Samini, who has been in the music industry for about a decade since age 21 says he is just about starting his music career, indicating to show host, Gladys Osei Owiredu how much music he still has in him.
The well composed Samini who sounded like a legend said “for the strength of the dancehall music industry, it will be heavy to do a beat with Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Kaakie, Jupiter” and a host of them.
Samini is currently working on his new album, NEXT PAGE which will be outdoored soon. Reports reaching ‘The White Carpet’ indicates Samini will soon become the owner of a pub and restaurant here in Accra.

Samini throws his hardest punches yet at Shatta Wale

Samini
Samini
If you thought you had seen or heard the last of the whole dancehall feud between Samini and Shatta Wale, then think again. Samini must have been bored Tuesday afternoon and so decided to throw some hot jabs at Shatta Wale on Twitter. Check out some of the tweets
As for @BandanaWale jah know how many diss songs he has for me that I never played no mind to. Cus most of his claims were false N he knows
Ask @BandanaWale how he got in a pic with me and Mavado. Smh
Then he goes yo edit an old Mavado song ,add his vocals and comes to lie to fans that he did a track with DA guy I claim to have brought
@BandanaWale used to say in interviews that I don’t buy him stuff when I fly out. And i never really knew him on that level. Like wow. Lol

Shatta Wale urges Samini to be smart and come for a collaboration

Shatta Wale (Bandana)The man behind the current hit song ‘Dancehall king’ shatta wale has responded to the allegations made by his fellow genre mate Samini to nanayaw18.com.
Shatta Wale disclosed to #nanayaw18.com  in an exclusive interview that if Samini is smart enough he will come for collaboration since he (Shatta Wale) has the fire and is the nation’s most sort after artiste now.
Shatta wale said: ‘I have not heard anything from Samini yet but I believe that any smart business man who sees another smart one will seize the opportunity to work together’.
‘I am still waiting on them (referring to Samini’s team) for me (Shatta Wale) I have met some people from the high grade family but still no response yet he told nanayaw18.com.
Shatta also added that he is really working hard to get collaboration with Samini because he wants to work with any hard working Ghanaian artiste doing good music plus has international appeal. In talking about the hatred, Shatta Wale said, he does not see where the hatred comes in because Ghana is where both of us come from hence there will be no need for that.
‘I have apologized to Samini on past incidents and that has given me enough respect even in the face of Pastors hence I think he should over look it and come for us to work’, he maintained to nanayaw18.com.
In his ending words to nanayaw18.com, ‘I believe I am moving on but I want us to move on positively hence this is not about me (Shatta Wale) being a hypocrite but for the love and good of dancehall music’
The ball is in the court of  the Africa dancehall king Samini and his high grade family to be smart business men and go for collaboration with Shatta Wale.

Sarkodie, “I don’t have to explain anything to anybody”

SarkodieAfter several reports about Samini-Sarkodie-Shatta Wale ‘beef’, Sarkodie has finally come out to clear the air in an interview he granted with Nana Yaw18.
People thought Samini wanted to ride on Sarkodie’s fame hence the diss song ‘Pink Sheet’.
Yesterday, Samini stated that he doesn’t have any problem with Sarkodie but he just wants him to explain he statement in his song ‘Borga Borga’.
People think there is a beef between myself and Samini, it can never happen because I am not on the same level as samini, Sarkodie’s words to us.
The rapper was addressing the current situation between him and dancehall artiste Samini with regards to the song Samini released called: ‘Pink Sheet’.
Sarkodie also noted that what Samini did was a stunt, the very same way he did in the ‘borga borga’ song some years ago.
He said: ‘I don’t think Samini insulted me, what he did was to ask me to come explain myself on the basis of what I said in my song years ago’.
‘This is rap, it is the only way an artiste gets to free himself and run. I sincerely don’t owe anybody an apology’, Sarkodie mentioned.
Adding Sarkodie also stressed that he likes two things about Samini, his stage craft, business ideas but he would not say he is a big fan of Samini.
‘I look up to him in a certain way after all he (Samini) paved the way for us Ghanaian artistes internationally by winning the MOBO award, in his own voice.
In his ending words,
‘I have always wanted to work with Samini because internationally he is one of the GH artistes known apart from myself and R2bees hence it would not be a bad idea.’
If you study me (Sarkodie) I don’t run away from the fact that something is real hence make no mistake that I have a beef with Samini, Sarkodie’s final words.

Blakk Rasta grateful for his 7 BASS Awards nominations

The maiden edition of Reggae/Dancehall awards has Ghana’s controversially out-spoken Obama hit maker eloping with seven (7) whooping nominations including the coveted Artiste of The Year nomination. Other nominations for the conscious Rastaman include Reggae song of the year, Video of the year, collaboration of the year, album of the year, reggae performer of the year and best reggae artiste of the year. This means that Blakk Rasta has received more nominations than any of the nominees.
Blakk Rasta commented: ‘We do Jah works from down the heart. If awards come, it’s just an icing on the cake and to Jah be the glory. We will not break our necks over awards but we still must feel appreciated,’.
It could be recalled that the controversial artiste released two albums VOICE OF THE AFREEKAN REBEL and BORN DREAD in the period the awards covered and is no surprise he scooped several nominations. He also visited the Nsawam prisons twice for charity concerts last year and this year as ‘part of his social responsibilities’, he intimated.
Blakk Rasta is one reggae artiste who is so upbeat about reggae music you would at times think reggae is almost a religion to him.His live performances with his Herbalist Band are energetically electrifying. When so many artistes in Ghana now release only singles,Blakk Rasta still releases albums. His new album, ANCESTRAL MOONSPLASH comes out on 20th July.
‘yahman, we throw wi corn, we nuh call no fowl..we just fulfill Jah works through reggae. Big up reggae. It is the heartbeat of conscious music’,he replied when he was asked about why he so believes in no-so-popular reggae in Ghana. ‘I’ll do reggae till I fly away home…Rastafari’.
The awards is slated for July 6 in Accra preceded by a concerted featuring Elephant man from Jamaica alongside some other artistes including Blakk Rasta.
